Oh boy I didnt think I would need one. I will definitely need to shorten it a few inches to suit my height. Are you planning on a bustle?

Wow the back necklace is really beautiful! Aw the bird cage veil sounds gorgeous but I really like the other one you made itll highlight the lace applique and silhouette of the open back beautifully. I wasnt sure if id go with a veil but when I look at brides without veils it seems a little incomplete. I think trying on my dress again would be helpful and I can think through some of these things:)

thelibrarylady :  I know it has been a year since this post, but I actually just found the Maggie Sottero Vanja at a consignment store, it looked special and one of a kind on the hanger, and when I tried it on myself I instantly fell in love! It was a dress that was retired from a mannequin in a bridal shop, and so I will be needing it bustled! However, I am hoping to get more glitter/shimmer at the back of the dress! I have been wondering how I can add something to the back, and with a necklace like that I can personalize the dress! If it isn’t too bold to ask, do you have any wedding day photos of the dress you’d be willing to share on here? And where did you find that lovely back necklace!?!?!?!

thelibrarylady :  thank you so much for replying so promptly. You’re wedding photos will be of great help, as I was also wanting to put buttons on the zipper to provide more to that elegant back. Good tip on the bustle attachement, more points are always best. I love the idea of DIY back necklace, and will be using fishing line as it’s something I have on hand.

kswiss :  Did you end up making or buying your veil? It seems difficult to find one that will not take away from the gorgeous back to this dress. And if you have any photos I could see as well, it would be so much appreciated!! I got this dress for a steal and am hoping to get slight alterations in a few places to make this dress even more gorgeous (which will be difficult because it is already so beautiful).

Btw I got the ivory/pewter color, and the slight shimmer in the light silver lace is so elegant and different, I’m glad it wasn’t as popular as it should have been! Makes for a more unique dress.

Also this dress is so comfy, I was surprised to find a wedding dress that actually felt comfortable, especially one I could put on myself with no problem!
