@hmarie5211:  I’d LOVE to see pics of your altered neckline! I may do this too.

Anyone else run into theirs being too tight in the legs? Right before it flares out to the other material.

sorry I don’t have pictures to show, but will in about a week.  I turned it into a sweetheart but kept the feathers, and it looks AMAZING!!

One small problem I want to point out to my dress twins….

after I had it altered, I can’t sit in it!.  I’m 5’9″, 135, fit, so I had them tailor it to fit close to my body.  It is not tight in the slightest bit, but because this fabric does not have ANY stretch to it at all, it is almost impossible to sit down.

I don’t plan on sitting too much, but will have to either have it let out a bit or lose a bit of weight.

keep that in mind when you have your dress altered.

This is my dress too!  It was the second dress I tried on and I just fell in love.  I can’t wait for my first fitting! I love the feathers, but am also having it altered to have more of a sweetheart neckline.  Good style, ladies!Wink

Add me to the ‘duende twin’ list! πŸ˜‰

I LOVE that this dress is so different from most dresses. It is very flattering for a woman with curves, yet so classy with a vintage touch. I think the feathers and lace combination is amazing! And the skirt…. HELLO FUN!!!! Love it!

Couple of questions….What is your plan for your guys shirts? I had wanted to go with light grey suits with white shirts, but because this dress is off white, I’m not sure that will work? Thoughts?

As for the tightness of the dress…. We of course want it to be as fitted as possible in order to get the best shape and silloutte of the body…. but how tight is too tight? Sitting is obviously a must at some point in the night, but we also don’t want a ‘saggy’ butt just so we can sit. I sure hope the seamstress knows her stuff as I want it to be snug, but yet practical.

Best of luck to all of you! Share your pictures! I’ll do the same. πŸ™‚
