So. I purchased the Allure dress. There were things about it that i hated, but I felt a lot of pressure to buy a dress, and everyone loved it. The sales lady talked my into purchasing the sample, assuring that the top fluffies could all be pinned down and that the bodice vould be fixed. No probelm.
Fast forward to my second dress fitting. The dress fits horrible. The seamstress says that she cant pin the top down, and the bodice stabs into the top of me giving me lovely arm boobs that cover the top of my dress.
All I wanted was to feel beautiful, and now, I hate the dress, and hate that I have to wear it. I should have stuck to my guns, got the dress of my dreams and not listened to the influences of my mother and sister, who told me I looked fat and pregnant in the dress. If i could do it all over again… But I dont have enough time or money to order a new dress… 1100 dollars is a LOT to spend…
Sorry, just needed to vent.

why can’t the seamstress fix it? I hate it when they tell you one thing they can do then later say they can’t. I’d bring that point up big time and ask them to somehow make it right because you have now lost the love for your dress and thats not helping the issue.

I do not have any pictures to post. I just… idk wish that I would have held to my original guns. she says she cannot fix the top (where the bodice is poking into me causing me to have serious arm boobs) because the weight of the dress. She says she cannot pin down all of the ruffles on the top (the thing about the dress that i hate the most) because it will ruin the dress. and of course, after she messed with the dress, it now does not fit… at all. So I am worried what she will not be able to take it out enough to fit properly.

@vintagefair: Again, I’d find a new seamstress. You can alleviate some of the weight of the gown by installing what is called a “waist stay”.
