So I ordered my dress around december and they told me that I should be contacted around april/ may. Well it’s the middle of april and I haven’t been contacted. Do you think it’s too early to contact them? What have been your experiences, on how they notify you when the dress is ready?

i think it’s always okay just to call and check in to see how the progress is going. you won’t appear pushy just by making a simple call.

My bridal salon gave me a call when my dress came in. The bridesmaids dresses took until the very end of the “proposed time” – i.e. they said in March, and when I called the first week of April, it had just arrived.
Maybe call to check in and see if you can make an appointment for your first fitting at the same time?

You should call. You can also ask about the timing of the dress fitting as well so you don’t seem pushy. (i.e. “If my dress comes in May, when do I do my dress fitting?” I think this is very understandable given your wedding is in June!)

I would call them, like everyone else suggested. It can’t hurt. My dress had come in early by a month and it was not until I called to check on mine did they tell me it was in. So I suggest calling…they might be calling the wrong number or something.

Definitely call and ask! My dress (well…more like my ex-dress) was scheduled to come mid July last year but it came in at the beginning of July. They did call me but it took them a week after my dress to come in to actually tell me it was there. They said they were so busy it just got missed!

UPDATE: so I called and asked about my dress yesterday and they said that they would call me back. They didn’t so I called again today and they said that the dress is made but it hasn’t reached the salon yet. They said that they would call me when it gets there.
