So I found a flower girl dress I like on dressale.com, they are out of Hong Kong. the dress is around $60 and the shipping is around $30. I really don’t want to pay that much for shipping, is this a reputable site? Has anyone else used it? I saw a few bad reviews, kind of leary buying online though it’s not a bad price. These are the 2 dresses I like on there, haven’t seen anything like them in stores. They claim they will make anything custom….

I recently bought a dress for one of my bridesmaids from Dressale.com. When the dress arrived it was the wrong color (black, not blue), the hems were uneven (the sides were longer than the front and back and none were the same length), the skirt was way too short (mid thigh instead of knee length), and the straps were so short she could not move her arms.
This is a clear case of a defective product. However, they have refused to refund the $120 I spent. They have only offered a $20 refund and $20 discount on future orders.
This has been possibly the worst customer service experience ever. When I emailed their customer service and asked how to return the dress and get a refund, I was given the complete runaround. First, they insisted that I take pictures and measurements of the dress so they could share them with their manufacturer so the manufacturer could decide if there was a problem. Then they told me that I should take it to a local tailor to have it altered and they would reimburse me. Multiple emails later I still couldn’t convince them that the wrong color could not be fixed or that made the dress unwearable. Plus each time you email it goes to a general email box so I had to repeat the problem over and over again to at least 6 or 7 different people.
This company refuses to take responsibility for the quality of their products or the satisfaction of their customers. In the last email they have sent to me, they told me that they could only refund me $20 because they could not bear the burden of lossing money on the dress. Apparently it is fine if I lose $100 on the defective dress.
In addition to the difficulty I had, both my sister and my other bridesmaid have had bad experiences ordering the same dress. My sister’s dress was delayed so many times, she finally just cancelled the order. She told them the event was 5/10 and they asked if they could deliver the dress on 5/30. My bridesmaid did receive her dress after 1 delay and it was also terrible quality and ill fitting. She described it as “Judy Jetson meets Little Bo Peep” which is not the look I was going for in a bridesmaid’s dress. Again the straps were so short that she could not move her arms.
I would strongly recommend that people do not buy from this company. They do not care about the quality of the products they sell or their customers.

Look at their return and exchange policy…they don’t sound like people who care about their customers at all!
I really suggest you look elsewhere.

WOW! This stinks 🙁 I loved the dresses and thought I found my flower girl dress, I guess I need to keep looking. If anyone reading this finds anything like these from a legitimate place, site, store, designer, etc… please pass along the info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you girls for telling me about this before we waste our money. as if us brides dont have enough to worry about!

Someone posted on here last night about a horrible experience with this website re: ill fitting, wrong colors, etc… and not it’s missing? I’m just wondering why? Did you really have a bad experience? Is this website not reliable? Please help! I just don’t want to ask my soon to be sister in law to spend the money for nothing, then get the wrong dress and have to buy another one last minute! Thanks again! 🙂

Well I haven’t ordered from them but their reviews aren’t good.
Dressale Is A Terrible Company
I hope you can find a good place to buy these dresses. They are very cute.

Though they have their own shortcomings, we cannot blame them for every scam that happen there, as much as we cannot blame ourselves for being a fool by getting scammed. We have to be intelligent to protect ourselves and our hard-earned money.
If you know less, you’ll loose more…
