Hi jladaga

I was wondering the same thing.  I found a bad review here http://www.ripoffreport.com/directory/dressale-com.aspx

 However, I remember another post (I will try and find it).  It was reviewing a similar company based in Hong Kong.  The post was a detailed description of a semstress’ experience with pictures of the stitching, packaging etc.  She was getting married and was going to make her dress, but the $100 dress was too tempting as, at the very least, an experiment.  The conclusion was that as long as your design is simple and you aren’t too picky about the specifics it’s a steal.  I only know two girls in my life that would apply to though haha.  Most girls, especially here in the states, are VERY picky and care about the tiniest things. The other girls that bought from the company (again, I’ll try and find out more info) all said pretty much the same thing and that the more pictures of the details you want, the better.  Otherwise, companies just make it the most economical way.

Just be mindful of short positive reviews without pictures.  Especially if they are first time posters.  There were a few on that thread I’m refiring to that everyone thought was from the Hong Kong based company trying to save their name.  Which, for the record, I don’t condemn them for.  They are a company selling a product where you get what you paid for.

I personally had a experience with them. Ordered my daughter’s senior prom dress for $188.48. They ripped me off, no dress and took my money. They have several other companies online… through gaming, other clothing co. BEWARE! So angry people can get away with stealing from you!

I just had the worst experience with this company.  The dress I ordered was pictured with a pleated bodice in stretch satin and a skirt in satin with a chiffon jacket.  It had color matched beading on the bodice.  The dress I received was chiffon lined in satin: very heavy.  It was poorly made with lining sticking out at the neckline and a sticking zipper, and siver sequins instead of the beading.  Luckily PayPal stuck by me and I got a full refund.  DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Thanks for letting us know. I had never heard of them but it sounds like they have a bad reputation.

@jladaga:  I purchased a dress for my daughters bridesmaid the first week of January.  It was a custom order using the skirt from Dressale.com and a modified top (white flowers against the colored skirt with colored beading).  I sent 8 pictures with my emails and spent hours on the LiveChat line. They assured me they could make the dress.  I paid the money and waited the 3 weeks. Nothing.  Then I contacted them and they said it wasn’t ready – holiday. Then a 2 week holiday for Chinese New Year – which I am pretty certain they should have known about it and factored it in.  Finally at a month past the due date they sent me photos of a dress that was Absolutely Nothing like what was ordered and discussed. It was HIDEOUS. They first offered to remake the dress and then renigged. But by the time they said it was TOO DIFFICULT the 45 day Paypal time had passed so I could no longer get refunded.  I asked for my money back and was told they would refund me except for $60 for materials.  They refunded me much less than that keeping $80 for their materials – which by looking at them could’ve been purchased for much less). Then I fought with them for 2 months to get any amount refunded (Paypal helped me contact them).  They refunded $20 over the shipping charge is ALL.

This web company and its affiliate HK Maso accepted an order they could not make, did not fulfil the order I placed, gave false information about the time it would take to make the dress, did not even make the dress themselves (they kept talking about the company that did), and refused to refund me the full amount even though it was clearly their fault.  I paid $139.99 and they refunded me $50 – just :$20 over the shipping charges.  They sent me a forwarded email to a group of customers that were waiting for refunds from them.  It clearly had another order number on it and about 6-7 other customer names.  How poorly managed.

I also found out that when you post feedback/reviews on their website that they only post the ones that go through their company censor.  So you will never see a truthful review on the site.  Please save yourself the trouble, money and heartache and purchase somewhere else.

@promdressdrama:

I keep seeing horrible reviews for this place. Before another bride orders from them and has a poor experience you can feel free to shoot me a message and ask me questions about good replica companies.

I don’t know everything but I know enough. I had one bad experience and two good ones. Now I have read up a lot of info and have an idea of which companies you can trust and which are skeptical.

Dressale ok for some thing Cool

You have to watch what you buy if it’s good to be true it is. But i have bought smaller items such as flower girl dress and got them. You do get real tracking numbers I say buy from sellers with trust record and ask lots of question and order small.

@jladaga:

Stay away from Dressale.com!!!!  I recently purchased 3 bridesmaids dresses from them.  2 were horrible and looked nothing like what they were supposed to.  The third was pretty but the wrong color.  They refuse to give me a refund or exchange.  They did offer to pay for me to have the dresses “fixed” but when I offered to show them a receipt, they backtracked on that offer.  They said that they can’t afford to give the refund or pay for the fixes.  I ended up having to replace two of the dresses and work around the color of the 3rd in order to have decent dresses at my wedding.   Buying from Dressale was a total waste of time and money and nothing but a big headache.  It’s just not worth it.  Shop from a reliable source, as I learned the hard way.

NEVER buy from dressale.com!!

I ordered a hunter green dress from them, bust 97cm, waist 75, hips 95.

They sent me a turquoise dress with bust 81, waist 64, and hips 77cm.

Wrong dress.  Wrong size.   Wrong colour.

I asked for a refund.  They said they can’t afford to give me a refund, but after a TWO HOUR conversation with someone on their online chat, I was offered a $20 in-store credit as compensation, because she said the company can’t afford to send refunds.

I’m disputing through PayPal at the moment.

I made the mistake of ordering a wedding dress from dressale.com. The dress they had on their website was absolutely 100% what  I was looking for and the price they offered was so good I went against my better judgement and ordered it. I only wish I had taken the time to read reviews beforehand! They took a month to send the dress so it came the week before my wedding and was completely different to the dress on their website which they quickly removed! The dress they sent could not be worn it is so poorly made and ugly. It literally looks like a child sewed it! It has blood stains on the fabric!! The seams sewn on the front are crooked! There is much more wrong, but too much to list.

I am in the process of fighting for a FULL refund through paypal as they have only offered a partial refund of $80 when I paid them $191!! Do not order from this site!!!!
