I feel the same way as you about sequins.  Although many lace dresses have sequins you can find ones without.  I have found that the more expensive ones are less likely to have sequins.. unfortunately.  I don’t think I could deal with sequins so I will search for a lace dress until I find one without sequins.  She may have told you that because that particular bridal shop doesn’t carry lace without sequins and she wanted to make the sale.

@kekdilling:  Keep this dress it looks great on you!  The sequins will make the dress appear as if its glowing in dim light. I love it:)

Hmm…Are you getting married during the day? Because if you’re having photography done in natural light, the sequins shouldn’t reflect all that much. Different though if you’re getting shots at night, with flash.

What are your options? Are you thinking of changing your dress, or getting the sequins removed?

@kekdilling:  Personally I love the sequins, but if you really don’t like them – it is an option to have the dress altered and the sequins removed? I would think that the sequins are just added on with a bit of thread.

My dress has suttle sequins as well, personally I love them. We are having a day time wedding and I wanted a bit of sparkle without being actual *bling* and thats what this element gives imho.  Here is my original dress and the pic of it IRL, of course this is indoors and the lighting isn’t that great so I know it will sparkle a bit more in bright daylight, especially in the chapel we are getting married in that has tons of natural light

(fyi casablanca dresses are known for their sparkle 😉  mine is a san patrick though…)
