mine is a tulle a-line/small ball gown dress with some satin and some beaded crystal embellishments. it’s not super elaborate. most dresses i tried on were simple. i’m a plus size bride, i didn’t want tons of bling or anything.

Simple. Didn’t get it yet (girl below is a model), but, it’s very me. Vintage yet unique.

I originally wanted a really simple dress and was looking at this:

I ended up with Maggie Sottero – Alana.  Which I don’t think is elaborate by any means.  Its just a simple lace dress.  I suppose the person who makes lace dresses might think its more elaborate than simple but to me its simple and I love it.

I think in a way the dress reflects your personality. I’m a soft-spoken person and I dress simply most days (jeans and T-shirt usually).  I wanted a slim silhouette with some lace or floral detailing to get a sweet/romantic feel =)

I went all out. I wanted my dress to be the most beautiful dress I will ever wear probably. I also wanted something that was classic and timeless so ten years down the road I won’t look at my photos and cringe. Finally, I wanted something that was worth the money! Exquisitely detailed hand embroidered silk organza with crystals, I am in love with my dress, and bought it sight unseen online! Have never even tried another dress on lol (and it was a steal too! hence, worth the money lol)!

I went simple. I am very overweight and the last thing I needed was extra poof. Here’s my dress :):

I wanted something simple that would not look quite so dated in the coming years. I know it will eventually look dated but I didn’t want my wedding dress to be super trendy either- no mermaids, crazy beading, ruffles, or sparkly belts. I love fashion and wearing trends in my day to day life but I wanted my wedding dress to feel timeless.

I’m about 5’4 and 120 pounds. I don’t think my dress overwhelmed my frame although I’m sure my 5 inch heels helped.
