Uh oh, poor girl! Back to this? I remembered this one and went back to look at your posts and refreshed my memory, I loved it when you posted about it before, and I love it now. . You really cannot worry about what other people think of your dress. People are crass, and they really do not realize how important the dress is to the bride. If you love this dress and you feel like a beautiful woman in it then you should own it and disregard their crap comments! if you really are unsure about it and don’t think its you, and yo don’t feel like an extra beautiful version of yourself in it, then maybe you SHOULD re evaluate, but you should only do that for you. And NO! It does NOT look like tissue!

Are you still doing the simpler skirt for the ceremony and the textured skirt for the reception?  I love that idea and I think you are gorgeous in both styles.  There are some textured skirts that actually do look like toilet paper IMO, but yours really doesn’t.  It’s fun and you look great.

I looked back and your dress is stunning! Once they see it on you in all your wedding glory I am sure everyone will love it.

Textured skirts are LUXURIOUS-looking. I personally love them. Don’t let some brutish, impudent girl make you think any less of your gorgeous dress! You’ll look beautiful in it!

I LOVE textured skirts! My mom actually said that they look like crumpled up toilet paper…right as I was trying one on (and falling in love with it). I didn’t wind up getting it. But I think they look amazing and they often look SO great in photos. I forget who posted it, but recently somebody posted recaps and there was a photo of her textured dress in front of a window with the snow outside, and it just looked ethereal. I say go for the texture!

I had a textured dress and no one ever said anything like that to me. I LOVED my dress though so I would not have cared if they did! I haven’t seen your dress, but I’m sure it’s beautiful and if you love it, forget about that comment. No one is going to think anything about you on your wedding day except that you are the most beautiful bride they’ve ever seen.  Trust me!

All that is important is that you love it.  Don’t let them bring you down, especially since they haven’t even seen it!  ๐Ÿ™‚

All that matters is that YOU love the dress.

I thought the textured skirts looked like crinkled paper too, until I tried it on and fell in love. So I bought it. End of story ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok I went back to look at your dress and clearly remember it because I loved it! It’s fantastic, you really have no reason for dress regret. Some things are generational. Think of it like this, would you choose the clothing that those people who are into traditional wear, probably not they’re older and more traditional right? So if they loved the bottom of the dress would it really be you? Again I think your dress it perfect.

I call it the cotton candy or the fluffy cloud… that was how I described it when I was talking to designers.  But tissue paper? No. Not tissue paper.

I wanted something similar, but it’s too overwhelming for my little frame so I had to opt out. My junior bridesmaids are wearing them though! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hun you’re not alone.

Whenever my Fiance sees pics of these kinds of dresses he says they look like toilet paper!!! Much worse than just plain old tissue paper….every dress with that texture gets those comments.

So yea, although originally I wanted texture on the skirt….I don’t think it’s happening. I mean, if it was anyone else saying that I wouldn’t care. But I want my man-friend to like my dress and the way I look, so texture is out.

First let me say, I LOVE your dress. I may be a bit biased because I have a dress from the same designer, and the same store!! haha  Mine is also textured.   I worried A LOT about comments  not because the dress is not so traditional.  But, ya know what, it is me, and I think it is gorgeous!  If you love it, rock it!!  You look gorgeous in the dress and you will look stunning on your wedding day.
