I know it’s accessories, but since a lot of people on the dress board order from DressilyMe I thought I’d post it here.
When I first tried on my Allure dress I wasn’t wearing any sort of crinoline underneath. The dress is A-line, and I added a regular crinoline underneath, and then pinned it down to give it more of a mermaid style.
My dress is in, and my first fitting next weekend. I just assumed I’d buy a crinoline from the dress shop but when they called to tell me my dress was in I asked about buying one. They told me they didn’t have any in stock and wouldn’t get them until August. Um…that won’t work for me.
I started researched online and decided to check out dressilyme for an inexpensive option. Sigh, you always get what you pay for. It showed up in a DHL bag, like expected, and stunk to high heavens when I opened it.
I ordered a mermaid style crinoline and two (didn’t realize it until it arrived I ordered two instead of one) ivory lace veil.
I ordered this veil :
It would look great if it weren’t for the fact there are sparkles, looking like glitter, on it. 🙁 The picture didn’t shot it, even in the close up view. I didn’t want to spend a ton on a veil and was sooo bummed to have this one show up w/ glitter. I guess I’ll be spending on money on a veil at the bridal store, and renting a crinoline for my fittings next weekend and waiting for one to come in that I can buy.
Here are close up shots of the veil :

These pictures are a little bit scary, I’ve just ordered a veil too. But I figured it was so cheap and I have so long to plan that if I hated it I could always find an alternative.
I don’t expect to receive it for a few weeks but when it shows up I’ll post some pictures for other brides.

This is sad, because generally DressilyMe does a fantastic job with their stuff. I’m so sorry honey 🙁 Have you looked on Etsy for a cheap option? There’s lots of makers on there!

@PacificMrs: Agreed, i see so many dress successes!
I looked aroud etsy and veils similar to what you’re looking for seem to start from $30 🙁 Also, with the wedding in a month, would it come in time? You might be better off getting one from a bridal store.

I have received my veil so I thought I’d follow up on here. I ordered this veil: http://www.dressilyme.com/wedding-apparel/beautiful-imported-yarn-one-layer-ivory-veil-matching-your-wedding-dress-10890.html
I was actually ordering some fabric samples and I figured since I was paying postage on those I may as well order a cheap veil as well, and if it wasn’t what I was looking for then I figured it would be no real loss.
I placed my order on 26th August and selected the slowest shipping possible. The items shipped on 1st of September and they arrived today. The veil was folded in clear plastic packaging and the mail bag seemed durable and waterproof.
The veil is advertised as yarn; I don’t believe that it is. It’s quite stiff, and the edging is not completely stitched down so that some of the peaks are folded over and the veil catches on itself quite a bit.
For the price I am actually really impressed. I probably could have made this myself but it would have been tedious. My only real complaint is that there is some pink thread caught up in the lace edge which I’m struggling to pull out. At first I thought it was used as stitching but it’s just really caught in there. I don’t want to pull too hard in case I unravel the stitches in the lace.
