Hi ladies!
I’m new to the Bee boards but am hoping to seek out some advice on replica dresses ordered through Dressilyme.
I am in love with Paloma Blanca’s style 4256 (link: http://www.palomablanca.com/2012/07/01/gowns-collection-style-4256/) but unfortunately can’t justify the retail price of the dress.
I’m looking into buying the floor model, but even with that discount (which is unknown at this point) I’m not optimistic it will make the dress price within my comfort level. Instead, I’m considering a replica dress but I am so hesitant to pull the trigger and sacrifice on the quality of materials, craftmanship, etc.
Does anyone have advice on their experience with Dressilyme or another replica site? Specifically for Dressilyme, are they able to accept photos and descriptions of the dress to recreate? I don’t see the style of dress listed on their site and can’t seem to locate any information about custom orders in their FAQ page, About Me section, etc.
Thanks girls!

@dolcevita5: From what I have read, Dressilyme is a very good company and produces some excellent dresses. However, I am not sure how they react to special requests – dresses not on their site. It depends on whether they are busy or not. I did not use them for my daughter’s dress because I wanted modifications to the original dress like an extended train and increased beading.
I used Jasmines Bridal Shop which has excellent reviews on this website. They make replica dresses, as well as do modifications to the dress. Some Bees have combined two different dresses and have been happy with the outcome.
What you have to remember is that there is only a maximum 95% chance of getting close to the original, and that is if you upgrade to Designer grade for fabric and craftsmanship, so if you are really picky, save your pennys and buy the original.
However, if you are happy to forgo the 100% accuracy, you will get a magnificant dress, of superb quality and with great customer service.

Dressilyme do take requests, as long as you have pics. I’ve been told that the quality of workmanship is not as good as Jasmines, but they are a lot cheaper. I’ve also been told that their beading is good quality, but their lace is not. Neither of which matters for your dress, of course…
If fabric quality bothers you, Jasmines have much nicer fabric. I think that, with that dress, Dressilyme could do a good job craftsmanship wise, but it depends on how important fabric quality is to you.
If you want to contact Dressilyme about a custom order, you email them directly with pics. There isn’t a custom section on their website!

Thank you to you both! I am going to look into Jasmines Bridal shop as well. I had never heard of them before, so really appreciate the tip!

@WillowTreeWade: Originally on the bee, I think. I was also told that by a rival company… I believe them, as it happens, although they are (obviously) a rival company… and a rival company who are known for their lace.
