They are great at answering questions. I have been in constant contact with Paris from Dressilyme and she has detailed what happens. If you find a picture and explicitly say what you want, she will tell you if they do it and if they are capable of doing it. I’d email and find out 🙂 Also, they have a facebook page that has some reviews. You might find something on there.

@bells219:  The language is fine, as far as I’ve seen, if not simple. I wouldn’t try to be elequent– it will only make it harder. They emailed me back within 24 hrs, but it went to junk mail and I didn’t check it right away. I’d suggest checking your junk mail tomorrow to find your response 🙂

I have the same problems with straps. I have a very much hourglass waist with a large chest. I find that EVERYTHING falls down if it isn’t rigid or has straps. I do not want to spend the night pulling my dress up. I ended up asking them if they could put removeable straps in the dress I like, and they are able to do spaghetti straps that clip in (sorta like removeable bra straps). I think this is about the best compromise I could come up with. During the ceremony I will wear it strapless with the train down, then bustle and straps for the reception. It might not be super hot, but that way I can dance without looking like I”m doing the chicken dance all night !

They told me that they would put 11 or 13 bones in my bodice if I like at no extra charge. I’m a 36i bra. I can do strapless so long as the boning is good so that made me confident about them.

@bells219:  just wanted to remind you it’s Chinese New Years on January 23, so they might be off for at least a few days!

My velvet corset has 12 stays in it and it’s super supportive for me. So as long as they use good quality stays them using 12 should be good too. And she said it would be fish bone so the stays should be good and strong.

Mine has no structural shortcomings, I am a 36Dirty Delete and a size 8 everywhere else so that was important to me too. I didn’t count the boning but I do know I don’t need a bra with it, and it holds me firmly in place without “squishing” so I am very happy with it! I hardly ever do strapless too, for the same reasons, constantly pulling it up is NO fun but when I am laced into my dress it’s perfectly snug and supportive without binding or cutting into me.

I am a 34D and the dresses I chose all had excellent construction on the inside. I didn’t need the corset I purchased or a bra! I was amazed!

I think the boning was excellent.

I had a previous dress from jeffliu and the construction on the inside was weak and trashy. I looked like a vegas prostitute.

Honestly I think dressilyme does amazing work and I felt like an angel on my day!

I had no problem with the structure of my dress – my issues were more with the exterior.  Most importantly, they sent me a PINK dress – when I asked for champagne – yes, PINK.  Also, there was supposed to be a different lace fabric on the bust of the dress from the skirt – but the dress I received just used one fabric.

They did not communicate at all with me, did not send me photos as I had requested – they shipped the dress out 2 days after my order without even confirming any details with me.  Unfortunately, they refused to make me a new dress in the correct color and fabric unless I purchased a new one (they offered me a 10% discount) but by then I just didn’t want to deal with them again.  I had to work with my credit card company and paypal for 3-4 months to get all of the payment issues resolved.
