So after reading many wonderful reviews about dressilyme, I went ahead and ordered from them. I have ordered a grad dress from another over-seas dress maker and the result was wonderful. This company did not offer pictures like dressilyme does, so I was excited to go with dressilyme. I first ordered my dress on May 4, 2013. I recived my dress June 24th.
There was so many problems with my dress. The beading is wrong, the sweetheart neckline was wrong and they had to fix it multiple times, and it also looks nothing like the original dress. They argued and argued and argued saying they didnt do anything wrong and the dress looks similar to the one in the picture.. I specifically requested no sequins and they put them on the dress anyways, then when I told them to take them off they said they could not do it. After nearly 2 months of arguing I had to relent thinking i could fix what was sent. Anyways Picutres speak louder than words, but if you order from them dont expect anything wonderful.
Here is the orginal dress: http://www.essensedesigns.com/stella-york/dresses/detail/5718
This last set of pictures they sent me asfter they finally “fixed” everything I wanted done
This is me in my dress.. if obviously doesn’t fit( and I had it customly sized)

I think it would look beautiful with some alterations.

That dress, maybe because of the sizing I don’t know, does absolutely nothing for your body! I’m so sorry you had this issue :/

@MrsTVLover: I agree.
I feel that when you’re ordering from some place like dressilyme you’ll have to accept the fact that it won’t be exact to the dress you wanted nor will it look like the inspiration picture because the photo is ideal, the model, lighting, and the dress are all ideal. The materials will also differ, that being said if you chose to, this dress could be very nice if it were altered to fit your body like it should. I very seriously considered going this route but Future Mother-In-Law very graciously has offered to purchase my dress for me so that is what I’m going to do now.

@beachykelt: i feel your pain. The biggest problem I have with it is that the bodice is a dark ivory and the skirt is a star white. You’d think they’d be able to match the colours!
i hope you find your dress

I WOULD SAY GO FOR ALTERATIONS SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE

@beachykelt: That dress looks nothing like the original dress. Even the beading is completely different. The colors are all off. The waist where the two fabrics meet it abrupt.
You need to return this dress and count your losses.

Yikes! Time to start going to dress shops and seeing what samples they are selling off the floor…

I hope they didn’t use plastic boning for the top part of your dress.
Hope you are able to find a seamstress that can help fix your dress; there are some seamstresses that refuse to work on dresses ordered online since it seems to happen quite often. So sorry this happened to you. 🙁

Dont bother with alterations if you dont like it. Sell cheap on ebay take the hit and look for a sample gown.

Exact same dress??? Its not even a similar colour. They did a horrible job and just because theyre a replica company shouldnt mean they get away with it. Im sorry this happened to you.
I agree with PP to go look at some real dresses now and stop trying to fix a dress you absolutely dont like
