I could really use some suggestions here. I’m pregnant, so I can’t go out and try on dresses right now (31 weeks, so I doubt I’d be very successful).
We’re doing a vow renewal on a beach in February or the mountains in April. Anyone have any suggestions for either of these dress-wise? Either way, it’ll be an outdoors affair and very small. Also, I’m no waif, so those grecian goddess beach dresses are a no-go.

@stuckinwonderland: I would go with whatever style makes you feel most comfortable, but I feel like the material should be light– chiffon, tulle, rather than satin or organza. Are you thinking long or short?

@love108: Long… I don’t really like short formal dresses or wedding dresses.
I would think Chiffon would be very unforgiving though.

@stuckinwonderland: chiffon is very forgiving I think, usually dresses are lined, so depending on the cut that might actually work for you.
How about something like this…
or this…taffeta i think would be gorgeous for a beach wedding…
this one is satin…i think this would be gorgeous in april in the mountains..

Ha, I guess I think of chiffon as that flowy type fabric… I use it sometimes when I make my daughters dresses… but of course, I don’t line them like wedding dresses! I like that third dress. I’d like to do a wedding dress, but nothing super extravagant… that’s just not me. I do like an a-line shape I think. I’m not sure I could pull off a mermaid/fit-and-flare.
