What does the lantern look like? Can you take pictures?

You could put vellum inserts in the sides (or if the lantern is glass, spray it with window frost) so that you can’t even tell it’s a fake candle.

I don’t think you need to worry much though.

I think they look great. You could put the candle on a little pedestal or something inside the lantern if you’re worried about it. The key is to make it so people can’t peer right down into the candle to notice that it’s fake.

The vellum insert option would also work in that style. It would diffuse the light and give it a little bit softer look. But then of course you wouldn’t really see it was a candle inside. And you probably could have gotten an LED light to go inside way cheaper if you went with that option, so maybe I’m talking myself out of that, haha.

@LadyLeigh:  It’s always nice to meet a state buddy 🙂  I think the lanterns will look really nice with twine and fresh flowers!

I think they’ll look great with the twine & flowers- as a guest I wouldn’t really be peeking into your lanterns to see the candle unless it goes out or something. I’d love to hear an update/ see pics after your wedding to see how they worked out. My FI has been wanting to use the flameless candles as well!
