Ok ladies… So we’re are having a laid back reception. Buffet dinner (my 2 aunts, mom and I are doing the food) nothing fancy. Our colors are fuschia, black, white-damask theme. Well my family are BIG tea drinkers, not so much on pop. Well I have 2 of these 5 gallon “Igloo” coolers (big yellow and red ones-like construction workers use) So I thought about making tea in them! But they are hideous! So I thought about buying some ribbon and wrapping them. Obviously I would need to cut a hole for the dispenser part. Do you think that would be really tacky? Like if you went to a wedding and someone did that, would you think “yea we know thats a construction workers cooler. Your not fooling anyone.” It is inside if that helps.
cooler I’m talking about
ribbon I thought of using. This design is also on our cake and card box.
Please be honest!

I think the coolers are fine, but it might be easier to wrap it in fabric instead of ribbon. I’m sure there is damask fabric at your local fabric store.

I would cover it in a cute fabric that goes with your wedding colors.

awesome!! thanks guys!! I was only thinking the ribbon since its round like the dispenser but I guess that could get pretty time consuming and the fabric would probably be cheaper too! i’m glad the idea doesn’t sound completely ridiculous lol!

Yes for sure!!
I am having glass apocethary drink dispenses. One with homemade pink lemonade and the other homemade plain lemonade 🙂

can you prime then and spray paint them and put some damask type decals on?

Not sure what your budget is, or if you’re interested in other alternatives, but we actually bought two glass infusion jars and used them to serve lemonade and iced tea. They have brass spiggots and black wire stands. They looked pretty nice.

Ha! That is very similar to what I spent a lot more money on! Here’s ours:

I say go for it! You could also paint it (spray paint would probably be easiest) and then wrap it in a lesser amount of ribbon.

dont forgat to catch spillage!!!! lol
stolen from piterest of course lol

I like the idea, I would definitely say to go with a fabric to match your colors or spray painting it and applying decals or the ribbon. It’s cool because it is definitely something you can reuse.

I love that – OP I think you should get a clear glass container. Is that an option for you?

I wouldn’t use it as it, try to dress it up, another option which we did for some of the punches at my nephews first communion was have the big igboo containers under the table or away from sight with all the punch in it, put nice glass dispensers on the table, then when it needed a refill we would make sure and shake/stirr the punch, and used plastic pitchers to refill the glass dispensers.
