What kind of wedding are you having? What are your colors?

Does your venue know you are planning to serve minors alcohol? It’s illegal, no exceptions made. You (and they) will be held liable if anything happens. What is your plan if you have non-drinking adults? Are they stuck with water?

Some non-alcoholic options that most people love are sparkling cider or grape juice, lemonade, iced tea, sherbet punch, Coke, coffee/espresso, cocoa.

As far as alcohol is concerned, many adults do not like champagne. Beer and wine are popular, but again not everyone cares for those. You can serve frozen drinks with tequila, vodka, rum, etc in the warmer months or go serve spiked coffee/cocoa/cider in the cooler months.

I would have some sparkling cider for under age guest and non alcohol drinking adults, along with coffee, pop, tea, water, and like lemonade or something. For alcohol, are you having a bar? You can do kegs of beer. Or buy some main liquors for people to mix drinks. Like whiskey, vodka, and some others.

We’re doing Sangria. We took a couple of recipes and combined and omitted and created our own. It’s one bottle of Red wine to one large can of pineapple juice (if you can afford to I’d suggested 1/2 a can instead or if you like it fruitier go for the whole can) and then we added in 4-5 shots of tequila pretty much just for flavor not too much at all just to give it a bit of a hint of something different, you can’t even really taste the tequila. You could play with it and try different liquors as well but that’s what we’ve tried so far and it was really tasty!

If it will be warm, what about something like mint juleps or gin and tonics? In the summer, I also love gimlets (gin/Roses’ Lime Juice), but they require a shaker and prechilled glass (IMHO) – not sure if you are looking for something more casual.

I’m not a big fan of fruity drinks, but there are plenty of rum punches that are pink in color, so would sort of go with your colors/theme.

Non alcoholic – what about serving lemonade and iced tea in big glass vintage looking dispensers? Rock candy swizzle sticks to sweeten the drinks? Having floating lemon slices in the display would be cute too!

For a vodka drink, you could do a traditional cosmo, but using different vodka flavors, like a raspberry or orange cosmo. You can do them on the rocks if you don’t want to use martini glasses. And they have a pretty pink color. 🙂
