you could put them in the invitations, but people would probably forget them at home. i would assign someone to stand by the door to greet people and hand out tickets as they walk into the reception.

What about incorporating them with the escort cards?  If you’re not having seating arrangements, you actually don’t need to tell them where to sit, but you could have fun “escort” cards that just distribute the drink tickets.

definitely don’t put them in invitations as ppl will forget to bring them!

I think the programs are a great idea!  The wedding I went to do that did this had someone standing near the entrance just handing them out.

How does it work?

I like the program idea IF your guests knew they were attached to them. Not everyone grabs a program.

How about incorporating with your favors (as a tag?) or with the escort cards?

Escort cards doubling as drink tickets?

Are we talking like tear off tickets?

Or maybe like escort cards with a spot to hole punch like reward/loyalty cards?

@LauraCMurphy: maybe you could have a perforated card – where you tear it off and that’s your drink ticket?  How many tickets per person are you doing?  Does your venue care what the ticket actually looks like?
