I drank til it was pink and got pregnant first cycle. I think you need to live your life and if that includes a drink here or there, even in TWW, then that’s fine.

I cut down initially when we started TTC. But after a few months without a positive, I gave in and decided it was crazy. So, I’m back to the occassional drink during the TWW (nothing crazy as I’m lightweight anyways), but actually enjoying those glasses of wine and ciders while i can.

With my first I followed the rules and did not drink at all. I was getting frustrated and decided to throw the rules out the window, that was the cycle I got pregnant. I remember my last drink too. It was Copper Moon Merlot and I was floating happily in my aunt’s pool.

Second time, the day before I found out I was pregnant, I had a beautiful glass of Yellow Tail Merlot.

Many advice? Drink merlot lol

First try both times. I wouldn’t worry about not drinking during the TWW until I had been unsuccessful for 6 months or so.

I’m not a big drinker at all. The month I got pregnant I drank, and was fairly tipsy a few days before I found out. It was only two beers tho. Now 19+ and no known problems. I don’t think if you have a couple drinks it’s bad because you still have to have fertilization then implantation occur. The first few days you’re pregnant the baby just floats around trying to find a good spot. I do not recommend drinking at all after its pink  tho.

ya, I like a glass or 2 or a few beers on occasion. I’ll be testing OFTEN, but don’t see it as bad to have a drink now and then.

MrsCallalily:  We started trying in July and had no luck for several months. I ovulated around Halloween and four days later we went to a scotch tasting. I got absolutely hammered, on accident. In my defense, the fancy food was tiny, there was no water on the table, there was complimentary champagne that was flowing like water, and my SIL gave me two of her scotches because she “had to work the next day.” So, yeah, I got blitzed. I’m not proud. But 12 days later I POAS and got a BFP. My completely healthy son arrived the next July and is now toddling all around. I don’t think there is anything wrong with drinking until it’s pink, but if you’re really concerned with it negatively effecting your fertiltiy you can always abstain or ask a fertility specialist.

We had a surprise pregnancy, so I was drinking as normal right up until the positive test, on day 31 of my cycle. That said, I am not a big drinker so I’d be lucky if that meant one drink a week, so maybe not the best example. I also don’t drink caffeine (but probably eat enough chocolate to cancel that out).
