So we are having beer and wine at the reception. I was originally going to have a full bar (well liquors with mixers) but decided I REALLY don’t want to mess with all that, and will be coming right at budget (which is tiny).
So…my two other options are: having a signature drink with few ingredients that can be prepared before-hand and that the bartender can make easily if we run out….OR just hitting up a Sam’s Club or Costco and getting a few boxes of variety pack of Mike’s Hard Lemonade or Smirnoff Ice.
Is that tacky?
Most people have told me that people will be happy with whatever I give them and I know this…I just want a little more variety.
Signature drink voters please share your ideas!!!!

I would go with the signature drink. Only know young girls that drink Mikes lemonade & smirnoff ice. A little too casual for a nice wedding imo.

@MsSparklyBee: Thank you, I appreciate your opinion! Hadn’t thought of it like that before! 🙂

I’m not a fan of Mike’s. Go for the signature drink.

@MrsVanSickle: Please don’t do mike’s hard. I haven’t drank that since I was 15.
Depends on what you like in your drinks.
1. Tequila Sunrise – yummy and basic
2. Martini – classic or fun with colors and flavors
3. Margaritas – June wedding, that would be perfect. And you can make flavored ones easily
4. Sangria – also a good summer drink, and fruity but you already have wine

I’m going to go against everyone else and say go with Smirnoff Ice or Mike’s hard lemonade, but that’s because I prefer coolers to most cocktails. As long as the coolers are served up in glasses instead of the bottles, I think it’ll be fine 🙂

From what I hear, Vodka is the most requested, so I’d do some sort of vodka cocktail. Here’s some: http://www.drinksmixer.com/cat/2138/
