I guess these are really uncommon? I’m trying to find Disney’s Belle from Beauty and the Beast yellow dress style drop sleeves on wedding dresses but I’m having trouble even finding inspiration photos. I’m not looking for the bolero style on that popular Belle inspired dress, I’m looking for dresses that have what cap sleeves would be if they were loose and hung down on the side of the arm instead of rode up on the point of the shoulder. Preferably short drop sleeves. Can any bees help me out? Thanks!

@fauxfaux: It’s probably uncommon because off-the-shoulder dresses aren’t even as common to begin with and that particular look is a bit “dated” (not trying to be offensive – just that it is probably pretty 90s). I think your best bet would be to find a strapless dress you like and add the sleeves to it during alterations.

@futuremrsk18: Boo. I thought as much, my ideal dress could probably fit seamlessly into a 90s bridal line-up. I just love the dropped sleeve style! Is it very difficult, do you know? To add that onto existing dresses? I’m probably going to go the custom route because I just don’t see what I’m looking for out there but I’d love to know if other bees have dropped sleeves on their dresses, thanks!

@fauxfaux: I don’t know how difficult it is, but I feel like a good seamstress could change almost anything on a dress. Getting a dress custom made isn’t a bad idea though.

Check out the following dresses and see if they’ve got the sleeves that you’re looking for:
