Does anyone have any advice on where to place a drop veil? I’m not sure how far it’s supposed to come down. I honestly can’t even tell where the front/back is.
I saw beautiful pics in a previous post, but they’re not really focusing on the veil. I purchased a chapel length drop veil at veilshop.com.

are you talking about the front part? often there really isn’t a "front" at all, because drop veils are just more like a large round shaped tulle. you would place it where you desire, so if you want the front to be more like elbow length, you’d just place it on your head so that the front edge would end up where you want it. other drop veils are oval, so in this case, the maker usually indicates it by placing a small crystal to indicate the "front".
the makers at veilshop.com should let you know if there is a front or not and how they’ll indicate it on the veil. if you didn’t receive any instructions and it’s round, then you can just play around with different lengths and see what you like best with your gown. good luck!

Thank you. I put it in my bathroom to let it steam for the next day or two. Once all of the wrikles get out of it, I’ll play around with it. I believe it’s just a big circle though.

i had an oval drop veil custom cut by a local veil maker. i had her cut it so it would be elbow length in front/for the blusher (so my arms and bouquet would be free) and chapel length in back. you place it wherever you want, then just bobby pin it to your hair.
i’ve blogged about it awhile ago with some good images. search the blog for drop veil lime, and it should come up. i will be blogging pro pics soon as well, and they’ll show how i wore my veil.
