I found that even though I’m short, drop waist dresses looked the best on me.  I’m quite busty, and I discovered that most dresses either hung off my boobs and made me look huge, or they came in at my waist but puffed out again so quickly that I still looked fat because my small tummy and hips were eaten but the fluff.  Drop waist dresses came in at the waist and then stayed in long enough to show off my figure.  I still had to get the waist and hips taken in several inches, so the dress in this photo still doesn’t even show off my figure as well as it could.  I can’t wait to try it on tomorrow for my final fitting.  Sorry for the awful blurry cell phone picture.

Maybe I’m biased because this is my dress, but I love the drop waist as well!  I’m long waisted, so it fits my shape!  Not to mention the corset makes me look so tiny!  Can’t beat that!!!

I am going to wear at my wedding 28th April. But I didnt decide its veil. On next saturday, I will go to shop for veil and other accessories. Which kind of veil will you use Detalle brides?

I just found my dress! After trying on a bunch of different styles and thinking that they looked ok and leaving the bridal shops more and more confused I finally tried this one on yesterday and love it! (the top2 pics) I was torn between this one and a lace maggie (camden-last pic) but realized the first one does more for my body type -at least in my opinion 😉 – at almost 1/2 the price too. And just the right amount of bling w/out the need for a belt. I’m short 5’2″ with shorter legs but don’t think it will be an issue with a pair of heels. The first pic is on the pedestal but the second one is flat footed on the ground. I also have a pair of hips and I found that the drop waist shows that they curve out but also curve bacK in rather than appearing to get wider and wider lol. Not to mention the ruching on the top is more forgiving and flattering. The only thing is that the train is super long and not so fancy so I’m going to have it altered To a shorter length.
