Oh no…I’m so sorry 🙁  I love my iphone and am sadly addicted to it.  Just curious, did you have a case on it?  I’m wondering if I need to get a sturdier case in order to catastrophe if I drop it.

If you go to Amzon you can find replacement screens for all the iPhones, just make sure you order the right one. They are a little tricky to install so knowing someone techy can help. There are also tutorials on youtube.

I’ve replaced mine twice this way. Good luck!

go to the apple store.  my sister dropped hers about 6 months after getting it and they sold her a new one for about $99  (a lot cheaper than the full non-contract price).  but then we’re talking about my lil sister who was able to convince TSA to let her on a flight from baltimore to long beach using a business card, checkboook, and a credit card statement.

@runsyellowlites:  Awww, I’ve done that too!  I know the (awful) feeling.  Hope it works out!

For your next one, I HIGHLY recommend a rubber bumper case: http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Transparent-Bumper-Crystal-iPhone/dp/tags-on-product/B003VLY4H0 They are super cheap, and cover all edges that would usally jar the phone.  I’ve dropped mine so many times (including in the same place I broke my last one), and the bumper has totally protected it.  I feel like unless you drop your phone face onto a jagged rock, it’ll be okay in one of these 🙂

@runsyellowlites: ooooh no! I dropped mine a few months back (and I posted about it, too!) I’m a lazy ass though and didn’t go to my Apple store for like three months (!). They told me that my warranty had expired two months before. I could have gotten a brand new phone for free. Now I can still get a brand new phone, but I’d have to pay $199. Try going into your local store!

I think you can get a replacement no questions asked….Brother-In-Law had a *golf cart accident* and his screen cracked.  He was so stressed about it, and he went to the apple store, and they told him that everyone gets ONE screen-destroy pass.  They replaced it.

In other news, my iphone was hooked up to my Synch system for tunes on the night of my bachelorette party, and at a red light, it casually slid into a cherry vodka & tonic:)  Needless to say, it went haywire.  But I played dumb, went into the apple store, and they totally replaced it with a brand spankin’ new white iphone.  Bring yours in and see what they say!

Oh nooo!!!  I’m so sorry!  I don’t know what advice to give you, except that since you have Apple care you should be ok!  DH’s sister dropped her Macbook, had Apple care, and got her screen replaced.  I don’t know if it was free, or not, though.  But she was in college, so it couldn’t have been too pricey if she did!

I hope it all works out!!

@runsyellowlites:  I think the rubber softens the impact in a way that most cases don’t – I just know I’m a klutz and it has been super effective for me!

@runsyellowlites:  Did you get to Apple?  I REALLY hope they just replace it. Worst case, maybe you can pull the Pregnancy Card somehow:)

Ahhh that sucks!  I hope they replaced it.  Get an Otterbox case this time…they also have a warranty that if you drop your phone while it’s in the Otterbox they fix it.
