perlerose:  It looks like the prong just may have gotten knocked a bit. I’d definitely take it to a jewler to get the setting checked. It’s hard to tell in your picture with the lines that the setting is crooked, but I totally see it still in the picture after you had it fixed. I wonder if it’s more an issue with the stone itself not sitting in the setting properly?

At this point, it needs to be repaired. Try a different jeweler to see if it’s the stone or the craftsmanship.

just going of your photos the claw stems look different lengths thus the uneven look and on one photo it looks like one of the claw heads doesn’t really go over the stone as much as the others.

its would look lovely in rose gold so maybe shop around for a new setting xxx

I don’t know much about moissanite, but I’d definitely change jeweller!

That’s inexcusable shabby work from the beginning. A ring would be able to take a drop no problem. I would definitely start from scratch with a new setting from a new jeweler.

perlerose:  cut your losses and send the stone to david klass. Have him make you a ring that will last like it needs to.

I can see it in a phot then an experienced jeweler looking st it under a 10x loupe should be able to see the difference lengths of claws,

Like you, my jeweller put the center stone in crooked.  It ate at me.  Every time I looked at it I could see the flaw and it made me so mad.  I couldn’t stand looking at the ring because of the shoddy workmanship.  The jeweller told me it was fine and refused to fix it.  His attitude and the other problems I had with him throughout the whole ring shopping experience had me in tears a few times and ruined my enthusiasm for my engagement.  It bothered me so much that my Fiance had worked so hard and put in a lot of overtime to buy that ring and I felt like we weren’t getting value for the money.  Finally, I took it to another jeweller…who had pride in his work…and he fixed it and it felt like a huge relief.

perlerose:  Definitely get a jeweler to fix the prongs, they weren’t made well in the first place.
