Okay so my Boyfriend or Best Friend of 2+ years has mentioned diamonds and engagement before, so I know he has thought about it. He has commented that he has no idea what type of ring I would like. I suggested that he consult his mom or his sister, both of which know exactly what I want. He’s the type of guy who likes to be absolutely certain when it comes to big purchases. So would it be helpful, pushy, or in bad taste if I added a link to my Amazon wish list of the setting I want from Blue Nile? He checks my Amazon wish list regularly.
Here’s the ring I really like:

@SweetScientist: I don’t think that’s pushy. I pinned a couple rings on my pinterest board and added a little note about what I like about those settings. He’s on pinterest and checks mine. I actually saw that one of the pictures was saved on his phone. 🙂

@SweetScientist: I think it’s okay to add it to your wishlist. It’s a way for you to tell him what you want without having to literally say it. You’re going to wear the ring forever, so better you get what you want. Plus, it will give him peace of mind, knowing that he’s purchasing what you want.

Honestly I’ve never understood people who don’t give any input on their engagement ring. This is something you have to wear the rest of your life after all! If you don’t want to go the whole way of picking it out together, just adding one to your wishlist seems like a perfect compromise.
