I am looking for a recommendation for a good drugstore face wash and moisturizer. Thanks!
I am looking for a recommendation for a good drugstore face wash and moisturizer. Thanks!
It isn’t face wash, but the only thing that I will wash my face with is African Black soap. It’s the only thing that not only doesn’t make me break out, it prevents the breakouts too! Everyone I’ve talked to that has tried it swears by it. I believe some brands make face washes with the soap as the main ingredient but I only use the soap.
I also use Neutrogena’s oil free moisturizer with 15 spf.
I swear by Pond’s cream as a moisturizer. My mom has been using it for years and I started on it too. Have my Fi now using it also.
I’m a big fan of the tried and true names; if you use Oil of Olay or Ponds for 50yrs, you won’t be disappointed.
Just my $0.02.
I use the Aveeno positively radiant line for face wash and moisturizer
Olay has a good variety targeting different needs.
I am supremely lazy so I use ponds cold cream at night. Take a scoop, massage into your face for a minute or two to break up all the dirt and makeup, and then wipe off with a face cloth or tissue. It’s better than any soap I’ve tried (you will SEE the dirt on the tissue -blech), doesn’t make me break out, makes an extra moisurizer at night mostly unnecessary (unless it’s a brutal winter like last year) and it is CHEAP to boot! In the morning I just rinse my face with water and use Garnier BB cream as a moisturizer, SPF, foundation all in one.
I second Pond’s moisturizing cream. I use the rejuveness one, and love it! (It helps with wrinkles/fine lines), it isn’t greasy feeling and sits well under my makeup.
I use Cerave foaming fash wash, and alternate between that and an exfoliant when I need one. I have yet to find a good exfoliant that I’d actually recommend.
can you specify what your skin type is?
Love the ‘Yes to Grapefruits’ face wash. My face feels so clean and looks so bright after I use it. Also does not give you that horrible tight feeling after rinsing your face. Also love CeraVe facial PM moisturizer.
I have oily/combination skin with horomonal breakouts.
Used to use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash for at least 10 years. Then, due to my skin changing and some other weird facial condition, I had to start using something gentler and my dermotologist recomended Cetaphil. That is not my holy grail! I love it!
The only problem is the Neutrogena would take off my makeup but Cetaphil doesn’t so it adds another step but it’s still pretty amazing.
I have HORRIBLY sensitive and acne prone skin. Because of my skin issues, I have literally tried everything. Literally. From drug store brands to department store brands to infomercial stuff to holistic remedies to homemade soaps to nonsoap soaps. Everything. A month or two ago I started using Simple face wash and moisturizer and I am in absolute love. I will probably never use anything else. It doesn’t break me out. My skin is clean and not tight feeling. The moisturizer actually moisturizes but never makes my skin feel oily. I love it sooo much! And it’s relatively cheap. Much cheaper than everything else I’ve tried.
I do use “Yes To Cucumber” face wipes at night to take off my makeup. Leaves me face clean and doesn’t cause breakouts, which i suffer from with oily skin.
