We are having our engagement pictures taken tomorrow early evening. I typically wear bare minerals but I have heard it doesn’t photograph well. I don’t have the time or patience to go to Sephora so any tips for drugstore makeup? I think I will use the naked palatte for my eyes but other than that I’m lost.
Also- I need makeup application tips for photos too!
Thanks In Advance

I love Maybelline 24 hour Super Stay for pics & it’s usually less than $10. I bought mine at Kroger for $8. It does not stay all day without a good primer & powder but when I put it on for the first time my Fiance actually noticed & said it looked good lol.

Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation is amazing. I typically wear Clinique Acne Solutions foundation but whenever I need heavier coverage (for photos or an event) I break out my Revlon. It gives a matte finish and makes my skin look flawless. It’s just too heavy for me for everyday. I also have found that Revlon coupons are easy to get your hands on which makes the foundation even cheaper.

Just make sure it doesn’t have sunscreen in it. I like Revlon Photo Ready

I know I’m late here since your pictures are already done, but Bare Minerals doesn’t photograph well! I had wanted to switch over to a liquid foundation earlier this year and I was trying to get my hands on a Mac one. In the end I had so many customer service problems with them that I ended up going to the drugstore and getting Revlon Nearly Naked. It is so amazing. It wears beautifully, lasts and lasts all day (plus I use Skindinavia or Urban Decay setting spray), and it is a spot-on match with my skin.

I will be using Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation + pressed powder on my wedding day. On the few occasions when I’ve had professional make-up done, I haven’t found the result to be any better than what I can achieve with my trusty everyday Maybelline.
ETA: Oh, and I was wearing that when Fiance and I had a couple’s photoshoot done, and it seemed to photograph well. I was happy with it.

I love Maybelline Super Stay! I used it for my engagement shoot and it looked great – just make sure you choose something without SPF (it’ll give off a white-cast in photos) and with a matte finish – You don’t want your face to look shiny. I used the maybelline with a primer underneath and setting powder on top, but honestly, i wouldnt worry too much about staying power. Your engagement shoot won’t last all day so you only need your makeup to stay put for a couple of hours.

I also am late to this thread, but I thought I would post, too. I have worn some of the best and most expensive make up in the world (NARS and Shu Uemera being my favorites). However, I’ve been wearing Loreal True Match for a number of years now, and I like it.
