I got engaged after dinner for our 4 year anniversary. That night I wore this awesome black shirt for the first time.. hugged in all the right places, made the girls look all fantastic. Good shirt. The dry cleaners downstairs lost it and are still in the process of looking for it. I’m not happy that they lost a pretty expensive shirt that I really like, but I am kinda shocked that I am annoyed by the sentimental side of it. I am actually a little sad they lost what I got engaged in. Do you remember what you were wearing when you got engaged? Do you get warm and fuzzy looking at clothing from your proposal or even engagement pictures, bridal showers, etc?

@MsLabRat: I’d be pissed that they lost my shirt (any shirt), but no I don’t have sentimental value in my clothing. I cut my wedding dress at my reception when I got sick of dancing in it, I’m not a sentimental person.

@MsLabRat: I got engaged at Niagara Falls and bought a t-shirt to commemorate it. But I won’t actually wear it, because I don’t want to ruin it by accident!

I have no clue what I was wearing when I got engagEd. It stinks they lost it but shit happens. Hopefully they find it.

I got engaged in sweats, and I think about it every time I wear them.

It would make me cross they lost a shirt, but I would not attach any sentiment to the clothing I got engaged in.
I would, however, make sure they bought me a new shirt!

@MsLabRat: I know it wouldn’t be the same, but if they can’t find it, can you maybe find a replacement (same color/brand/style) on Ebay?
@MrsWBS: I’m glad I’m not the only one who does not know what they were wearing when they got engaged.

@Ennie: Eh, I looked for it on ebay and to see if is still available at anthropologie. And its not. It is going to be hard to convince them that I paid 80 bucks for a tank top.

Aw, that would really make me sad! I’m crazy sentimental about clothes for some reason though. However, we were engaged while on the beach, so I was wearing a swimsuit, nothing terribly special… But my dress from my engagment photos and all the ones I’ve worn for various events, those I look at fondly from time to time!

Nope. I don’t remeber at all what we were wearing. I’m pretty sure it was some variation of sports shorts and a t-shirt though!
