I’ve heard you can make your own scrub with sugar at home to slough off the dry skin, although I haven’t tried it yet!  Also, I use a lip moisturizer by Palmer’s Cocoa butter, and its awesome!  it has softened my lips, I buy it at Walmart for about $5.00.

I use Lush Lip scrub once a day when really dry every two or three days normally. And I always used a Chapstick with SPF

I use A&D ointment in the winter. Dry lips, cracked hands, new tattoos… it’s a wonder!

After a shower, rub you lips with a towel then coat with vasaline. Works like a charm.

Petroleum jelly all day if you can or before you sleep at night. sure it makes FH not wanna kiss me but hey, beauty hurts.

Or

Olive oil with brown sugar. Don’t take that to bed though. Bonus: it’s edible!

I used to have a horrible time with dry lips in winter (and hands).  Someone suggested just plain Vaseline, I figured it couldn’t hurt.  I put it on morning and night (after shower/washing hands because it holds in moisture but doesn’t create it) on my hands and lips. It is greasy so I have an old hand towel I rub the excess off on.  But I haven’t had cracked hands or chapped lips since.  I do nothing else for my hands and Chapstick occasionally if my lips feel dry.

This has worked for me for years.  And I spent a couple decades before trying things and always having dry cracking hands and chapped lips!  Especially good for me because I’m allergic to most scents in hand lotion and even “unscented” irritated me AND didn’t help my hands :(!  Not to mention Vaseline is CHEAP!

Scrub with a washcloth and hot water and then apply vaseline, nice and cheap!  I live in the land of dry winters… agh.

I’m about ready to go make out with my coconut oil. Well not really but my lips are super chapped and I’m thinking that might help!

Coconut Oil and L-Lysine. L-lysine is important for skin and lip health and works from the inside out! It isn’t an automatic fix, but once you get it under control you’re going to have wonderfully soft lips! And healthy too!

I use praffran wax.   When I got out of surgery on my mouth I had very dry lips and the hospital gave me a tube.    It worked well.
