I need advice. My lips have always been dry and I’ve tried a lot of different chap sticks and they help for a bit but then I need to reapply. I j ow a lot of it has to do that I am outdoors a lot I usually drink a lot of water as well. Also when I wear lipstick which I just started doing more often I feel like the color fads when my lips get dry. So I am looking die two things. Something that moisturizes but sort of like a primer for when I wear lipstick and then a good lip treatment for when I am not wearing lipstick and have bare lips.

I use Aquaphor on my lips every night before bed, and I never get chapped lips! That stuff works great.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream isn’t cheap, but omg it works!

have you ever tried exfoliating your lips with a dry toothbrush? i also really like rosebud salve

oh, looks like there are two threads created.
Chapped lips is not just dry, but tiny tears/cuts in your skin. Neosporin helps heal the chapped lips, not just moisturize them.

I will sometimes run my clarisonic over my lips to exfoliate them, then slather on some moisture. The best chapstick I have found is called chicken poop (gross I know). I found it a Tractor Supply store of all places, so if you have that store around you it’s worth a look. I’ve used everything from Blistex, burts bees, Alba, medicated and non-medicated and this stuff is the best. The first ingredient is avacado oil, it’s my new love.

This is going to sound really weird.
Lanolin Ointment. New mothers use it to apply to their chapped, sore nipples when they are breastfeeding. I decided to use it on my lips and HOLY COW does it work wonders. You can find it in the baby section of any drug store or probably even Walmart or Target.

I use Clinique’s Superbalm. But with all the aquaphor comments, I may have to try that instead!
