My lips have been really chapped, cracked, and painful recently…I’ve started dousing them in Vaseline before bed and they are starting to feel SO much better!

I’m an Aquaphor fan too!  I use Burt’s Bees during the day and Aquaphor every night.

When I lived in a super-cold super-dry climate, I found what worked the best was every morning:

1. Put on Burt’s Bee’s balm.

2. Take about a teaspoon of sugar and rub it over your lips, then rub your lips together to exfoliate.

3. Brush or rinse off the sugar, then reapply Burt’s Bee’s.

Now that I live in California, I find that just using the Burt’s Bee’s balm once in the morning (and sometimes again after lunch) is sufficient.  But if you’re having that much problem with your lips, I’d recommend the sugar exfoliation, at least for a while.

Oh, and if you want to wear lipstick, give the lip balm a few minutes to soak in, then put on lipstick and blot it.  Add a second coat after that, if you want.

Palmer’s cocoa butter lip balm is the best thing I have come across and it works wonders instantly. I haven’t had that experience with anything else, no matter what claims the marketers use.

I have the same problem with chapped lips, and I’m always peeling them for the same reason, I want to try Aquaphor now that I hear such good things about it. Someone mind telling me where I can find it and how much it cost?

I use The Body Shop’s Vitamin E stick, but now I think I may have to use some Aquaphor tonight on my split lip!

@lioness_89:  pretty much any drugstore, walmart, etc. Its pretty cheap too, no more than $4 unless you buy a big pack or size

I have chronically awful lips (super dry!).  I finally went in to see my dermatologist about it and she said use Aquaphor!!  So I apply it every time I need it…which is about every 30 minutes.  (I hate my lips)

I’m all about Carmex. Its the only thing that works for me. And they recently came out with a nice vanilla scented one!
