My FI really, really, REALLY wants to have dueling pianos for entertainment at the wedding reception instead of a band or DJ. Has anyone else seen this? or are you doing it? If so- were you happy with it? Would you recommend it? Thanks so much bees! 🙂

I’ve never seen it at a wedding but I do think it’s a neat idea.
However that type of thing is more of a show (and the ones I’ve seen are a bit on the raunchy side) rather than something that people get up and dance to. I think you might have a harder time keeping people dancing with that type of thing (since there are some songs you CAN’T do on the piano well) but who knows?

SHUT UP I love this idea!!! Typically dueling painos are a show but that’s because there isn’t necessarily and environment suitable to dance. I think this is an awesome idea and I’m sure your guests would have such a fun time! Definitely memorable. I’m jealous!

oh.my.god. I absolutely LOVE that idea!! I always have the best time out at piano bars and It will definitely make your wedding unique. I can’t speak for what it is like at a wedding, but I can’t imagine ever not having a good time with dueling pianos! Good luck with the planning!

Dueling pianos are definitely fun entertainment! Hopefully they’re versitile enough to do some slow songs for you too. 🙂

I just heard about someone who had dueling pianos at their wedding, but I have never experienced it. I say go for it!

Wow amazing idea! I went to a dueling piano bar once and it was an awesome night! I don’t agree that it’s hard to keep people dancing, my friends and I were on the floor all night! I would definitely find out where the musicians you’re considering normally perform though and make sure to check them out in person first though.
