I have 3 bridesmaids. 2 fell in love with a lace strapless dress. My Maid/Matron of Honor said she would prefer another dress, a one-shoulder option that complements the lace of the other dress if that’s the one we choose to go with.
I super love both dresses and am okay if my Maid/Matron of Honor is in a different dress/different colour. The hard part is that the colours it’s available in at David’s Bridal…there are only a few options I like that are not super muted/too light and I’m not sure how well they go together. So I need the hive’s help!
The colours and dresses I like are below.
What would you choose?
Maid/Matron of Honor Dress (comes in Malibu, pictured and Mint green)
Bridesmaid Dresses (these are the three colour options for this dress)

jlc3: The dresses are really pretty and do compliment each other nicely!
I like the coral colour best, but it’s not available for the Maid/Matron of Honor dress 🙁 Because of that my vote is for malibu. Beautiful blue colour!

jlc3: I like the mint, that was going to be my original color, it isn’t too bright, but not too dull and I think it looks good on all skin tones.

I’m actually not a huge fan of the Malibu color but I adore the mint green! I think it looks so nice and it’s bright without being too in your face.
Of course, green’s one of my fave colors so maybe I’m biased, haha.

I love the mint green, especially for a Destination Wedding…having the same colour but different styles will look gorgeous

I thought I would like the green the best, but I’m voting malibu! It’s so fun!

I vote mint! It can be very classy, but can also easily be casual and it goes with a variety of events/settings/accessories – in case they want to wear it again!

Thanks you guys. I was so sure when my bridesmaid pulled this dress out to try on the first time that I wouldn’t like the colour (or the dress for that matter) but the mint is very nice on most skin tones. The malibu is also really flattering in person on all of my girls. The coral/pink I like a lot too but it’s not available in both dresses.
I almost want one in every colour, but that’s crazy right?! Lol. So many pretty colours! It’s making me feel easier about the decision though that you guys aren’t saying they are all hideously terrible!!
Okay – so second issue that I left out of my post…my Maid/Matron of Honor, who honestly is super laid back about things is not a huge fan of the mint on her. I wish the one shoulder came in the pink/coral so we could do that and the mint for the BMs.
Would the malibu look weird paired with two mint dresses? Is the blue and green too off like they would be competing beside each other? Please be honest, I can take it.

I personally would prefer to have them all in matching colours if it was my wedding, but if you’re fine with different colours then I think any of those three colours would look fine together, and I think the idea of one of each would actually look nice too 🙂

jlc3: I personally think that all different colours would only really work if all three were wearing the same dress. As it’s different dresses, I think one colour will look much better!

Thanks Aqua59: SellyJo: !
I’m finding that bridesmaid dresses are so much more complicated then my own wedding dress! LOL. That was easy in comparison. I guess because I was only trying to make myself happy with my wedding dress

I looooove the Maid/Matron of Honor dress (the other dress is lovely too, but it wouldn’t work for my figure, and a-lines are SO comfortable) and malibu is SUCH a lovely color – it reminds me of those picures you see of Caribbean seas – perfect for a DW!
