Hi ladies. I’m still in waiting but should be engaged by 2013 and we are deadset on a Destination Wedding. I’m trying to do some research to get the ball rolling as soon as possible once my finger is no longer painfully empty.
From everything I’ve seen on bestdestinationweddings.com, I can’t see any full service receptions! It seems like everyone has buffet style. Am I wrong? I’d love some insight!

It depends on where your destination is.

I am getting married at the Riu palace next month in Cabo, they have many plated options at various locations around the resort. 🙂

I am getting married in Negril and will be having plated meals. Just look around and ask what your options are.

Every resort should offer a plated meal menu. I’m getting married at Dreams and they actually require you to have a plated sit down meal unless you have 40 people or more. (We have 40 and are doing buffet). You just need to ask the venue what their offerings are.
A lot of resorts will also allow you to have your reception at one of the restaurants, depending on how many people you have.

Although we didn’t have a full reception, our Destination Wedding location (The Royal in Playa del Carmen) had a plated meal option.
