We are getting married in Miami Beach at 11 a.m and our reception will be a brunch from 12-3. Any ideas of what we should do after the wedding? My Maid/Matron of Honor suggested renting a boat? I need to keep it cheap as the groom and I are paying for most of the wedding ourselves. Everyone is coming from out of town though so I would like to have some kind of planned activity for later in the day. Maybe just going out dancing later in the night? Any other ideas?

Sunset catamaran would be amazing! You could take just your bridal party and immediate family for a sunset dinner.

Everything in the beaches is expensive, super expensive. So if you do want to do a boat, look for some that leave in the bay (the area by Bayfront Park would be nice). Also look into things in Coral Gables. While it’ll take a little while to get there, the area is really nice with a historic venetian pool, fantastic shopping, lovely architecture and wonderful restaurants.
I wish I could come up with a great group activity for you, but spending time on the beach and dancing might be your best bet. How many people are you planning for?

THe sunset boat ride does sound nice; or maybe a pool side party at the hotel you’re staying at?

@soonerpsych: I think we will have anywhere from 30-45 guests. Rsvp cards are due back January 16th so hopefully will have a better number after that.
