She sounds like a legit lunatic. Don’t go to this wedding!

“I hereby change my RSVP to no.”  Then block her and take an awesome vacation wherever you want to go. She’s definitely the selfish asshole here.

“Alright, cuz, we’ll save the $11,000 it was going to cost.”

Then I’d text her a link to this thread. Because I’m a vindictive bitch when someone thinks they’re going to blame me for something I never did.

No updates for three days?! Are you going to the wedding?! Did you respond to the TEXT?! I’m on the edge of my seat over here!

So, basically she wants you to spend 12 grand to ooh and aww over her. Not vacation, not have any other plans and simply follow her around and compliment her.

is she so stupid she can’t even see the benefit of bringing baby sitters?  Or not having to entertain everyone all the time?

I wouldn’t even respond anymore.  This is the hill to die on. She is a selfish brat. Go, have your fun vacation. And make her change her venue.. lmao

mamabear9909 :

That is not an apology.

She wants you to spend money on a dress too? She is one entitled bridezilla, isn’t she? Putting everything else aside, and I wouldn’t be, she should have bought the dress for you or let you wear what you want.

I would still back out of the wedding. She clearly isn’t actually sorry and she will probably find another way to create some new drama between now and the wedding.

She gets ONE day, but yet she views it as her entire week, intentionally. This girl is nuts- save yourself the headache and rebook your trip somewhere else.

mamabear9909 :  She’s not sorry.  That’s the worst “apology” I’ve ever heard of.

I’d completely back out of the wedding. Fuck that shit.  I’m sorry because it sounds like normally this cousin and aunt are pretty close to you but they’re just beyond words.

mamabear9909 :  please back out from r wedding. You don’t need this drama. Enjoy the trip as a guest. Her wedding=her problem.

mamabear9909 :  yeah, I wouldn’t accept that non-apology and I still wouldn’t bother with the wedding anymore except possibly as a guest (only if that was a relationship I wanted to maintain for some reason). Wearing whatever I wanted. I guess her fiancé knows what he’s getting into but I wouldn’t be shocked if the wedding gets canceled either.

mamabear9909 :  “It was wrong of me to think that you would feel the same way about my wedding and this trip that I do…” and “While I am hurt that you view this as just a trip, and I view it as the most important week of my life, I cannot stop you from doing what you want.”

That is actually worse than radio silence. That’s a guilt trip disguised as a semi apology.

I would back out of this wedding. And the relationship.

mamabear9909 :  If it weren’t for the relationship you have with her mother I would not respond, RSVP no, and change my destination.

At this point what do you want to do? What do you hope the outcome will be? Have you heard any more from your aunt?

Weddings can make people crazy. She’s not even hosting dinner, let alone hosting guests for a week, yet wants a group of people to spend thousands of dollars to make an entire week about her. Who hasn’t she alienated with this behavior?
