we are doing only local Grand Cayman items for our welcome bag.
I am putting in a cartoon map of the island tied with a welcome brochure I am making at home with sort of a schedule of how the wedding day will go.
I am including local Saltwater taffy (made on the island)
CayBrew (local beer)
non-alcoholic Ginger beer (buy at local grocery store on the island)
Tortuga mini rum cake

I really like the idea of getting some welcome bags, I think it’s a really nice touch and makes guests feel more welcome! Our guests are staying at different hotels, and coming on different days so I’m having trouble deciding where to leave the bags, ideally they would wait for them in their rooms but that seems tricky with so many hotels.. Any suggestions welcome!

I thought about doing welcome bags because there’ so much cute things that can go in them! Personalized sunscreen bottles, chap stick, treats that are from the Destination Wedding location, crosswords/word finds, can koozies, cute notes to your guests. We ultimately decided not to do them because I would still want to do a favor at the wedding and that would get spendy and the idea of getting all of the stuff down to Mexico was stressful.

Yall have given me some great ideas! With your help, so far here is my plan:
Custom bags (the reusable grocery type) with a Mexico silhouette with a heart over cancun and our names and date
First aid kit – thanks for this idea! I was trying to find a way to link my welcome bags and my FSA money that is about to expire!
mini tequila with custom label “Love is intoxicating”
weekend events passport program
small souvenier purchased in cancun (shot glass or maraca or something)
