You have a couple options. Google polyester dye. It takes a special dye. You can look at Michaels and get a dye spray (it’s near the tie-dye stuff). It definitely worked on mine (even though I didn’t want the polyester lining dyed). 

Depending on your dress, You could also “hem” the lining up 6 inches so it wouldn’t be seen. I was going to do this, but I ran out of time 🙁
