So after shopping around for centerpiece choices I went for the DIY option. Price$ are crazy for a bride on a tight budget like me.
I fell in love with manzanita trees and here is my version of it, opinions?? Thank you!!:-)
We bought the vase for $2.oo in downtown L.A. filled it up with sand to hold the manzanita tree ($5 from a local lady), added artificial poppy seed flowers (from the dollar tree store) and different sized cristal strands with a glue gun!($15/roll, from http://www.shopwildthings.com)

This is very pretty! Are those your wedding colors?

Thank you! I know it’s not too fancy but it’s how far I got.
Our wedding colors are Silver & Fuchsia/Hot Pink, so the centerpiece does not have much silver but the tablecloth we are most likely going with is silver. 🙂

I love it.
I think it is perfect just the way it is.
Any more would be too busy.

Wow this iooks so pretty! great job!!
…funny because I was just about to do a search for fake orchids / flowers to attach to crystals for our background head table and maybe to use elsewhere like in the photo attached and your post was the first i saw. maybe you’re interested in the photo too since you have the roll of crystals, maybe you can incorporate the crystals with flowers elsewhere too.
good luck, i think it looks great!

oh its so nice! i had to read that twice, i didnt reailze that was your DIY. i honestly thought it was a martha stewart picture! great job! it would look gorgeous with a subtle ivory/white tablecloth

That looks great. If you don’t go with silver tableclothes, you could do a silver ribbon around the vase…but only if you really want to incorporate any silver. I think it is absolutely gorgeous!

That looks amazing! I am doing something similar too.

You did a great job! You could even add more of the flowers, if you wanted.

How tall is it?????? What size branches did you get?

That looks awesome!
We did something similar with our tables. My folks have manzanita in their back yard so we trimmed a bunch and set them in plaster of paris, then filled the glasses ($2 from Walmart) with sand from Home Depot and glued on fake flowers. We were really thrilled with how they turned out. My brother surprised me by putting little craft creatures (bees, lady bugs, birds) on each set up.

I love it! I’m doing that same thing and I have pretty much the same color scheme as you…I just want the trees to be larger. But I plan on putting crystals and flowers on them too!
