I’m not expert but this sounds risky. I would assume you’s be able to dye a dress darker, but I also know there are some materials which don’t take dye as well or at all so you could use the same dye and get different colors as well as mixed coverage. In all honesty, I would suggest shopping off the rack and looking for sale dresses instead. Worst case scenario, you try to dye the dresses and it does not look good and then your BMs have ruined a dress they liked. If you have them professionally dyed, I think you can find off the rack or even used dresses cheaper. In fact, I’m sure my BMs would sell you their lt. blue dresses if you happen to need 3 in sizes 4,6 and 12 🙂

It depends on the fabric.. some fabrics dye better than others but it would be hard to get the same color for all of them. If you want to save them money you can just give them a color swatch and tell them to wear any dress in your colors, some may already have such a dress and others can buy one that they like so they can wear it again

Unlikely to turn out well unless they had white dresses. It’s difficult to dye a dress that is one color to another color unless it’s white to a color.

@slicey19: I agree with the risk factor, might end up wreckign them?
