Has anyone ever dyed their own table cloths/napkins/skirting? I am having trouble finding the exact colors I am looking for and I am thinking it might just be easier to buy a bunch of white and dye them. Any tips?

Most affordable table linens are (or contain) polyester, so it could be easier said than done to find 100% linen or cotton table linens (especially skirting).
Why not use neutral table linens, and make your own overlays, etc.?

Mmmm… Good point. We are planning on using the white table cloths from the reception hall for most of the stuff, but I wanted the head tables skirting and table cloths to be a deep purple. I am also using colored napkins under the centerpieces, over the white table cloths and instead of table runners, and layering them with 2 colors.
I am thinking if it will be too difficult to dye, I will find some inexpensive fabric and sew them myself. I can use overlays for the head table over white table cloths and skirting.
Thanks for the heads up!
