So we are going next sat the 23rd to take our pics. Our wedding is in a barn so our pics will be casual and we are doing them outside in the park. Its fall and our wedding is next fall so I think it fits nicely. Anyways my Fiance is seriously not the mushy type to stand there and know how to pose and what to do and I am worried he will try and rush things or get frustrated and want to stop early.
How can I keep him happy and enthused about taking a buzillion pics , thats what I want. Because you know not all of them are going to be super good. By The Way his uncle who is awesome is taking our pics for us. He is an amature photog but is super fun and good so I am hoping he will be the perfect person to put my Fiance at ease.
Any advide what you girls did with your Fiance, and did anyone have a very unenthused Fiance when taking pics?
Help please Bees….:)

My darling Fiance sometimes does this “smile” where he’s barely moving his lips at all, so he ends up looking kind of non-plussed in photos. My photographer would make us laugh to break him out of it, and it worked like a charm (I think! Haven’t gotten them back yet, but he was at least smiling:) ). I would just crack a joke or make a comment about how awkward you feel to get him smiling and more relaxed.

We just did ours on Sunday and my FH is the EXACT same way. He gets grumpy/frustrated/moody.
I gave him the look of death the night before and threatened to throw his hunting supplies in the creek if he didn’t cooperate.
AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM 🙂

LOL so cute ladies. Now I am thinking about bribing him. Is that wrong? He’s a sucker for a good steak dinner and spending 40 dollars on steak for these priceless pics seems like a good trade off to me.haha

@amberdawn1064: Not wrong at all! I bribe Fiance too :).

We were both nervous and my Fiance wasn’t really up for it since he doesn’t like to be the center of attention. I packed a small cooler with a 6-pack (for us to both relax) and made him a promise of a date night after the photos were done…it did the trick.
Just my 10 cents. Good luck with your pictures and have fun!!!

Both Fiance and I were very grumpy because we had to shoot the photos super early in the morning because it was during a heat wave. We were running late and tired. We are both introverts and hate this kind of thing. And at the time, all our posing felt awkward and forced. But we brought our dog and he kept hamming it up, so we laughed, and often, we laughed inbetween takes at the awkwardness. So we got a ton of shots back and some were awkward but most were very sincere and genuine looking. The number one comment on our shots was that our genuine personalities showed through, and we look so adorably in love! So you’ll be surprised by the results, I’m sure.
