I know – it totally sucks to be surprised like that with no chance to talk about it.  That is why I think something has spooked them or turned them off — apparently enough to back off the whole thing.

And I agree that there was nothing terrible in your post – it’s just if they saw it, there’s not much coming back from that.

Sorry 🙁  I really do think you’ll find someone – even this late!  The economy sucks!  Not every photographer is booked 🙂

Wow that’s kinda a suprise they wrote that, even if they did see this posting, you didn’t say anything bad about them.

In a way, I’m glad for you that they cancelled if that’s the quality of pics you got & if they didn’t even try to work with you on this. No offense to them, its just they have some things to work on. You’ll find someone else, & a photographer that will work better with you

Just so you know, you have to agree with them to cancel the contract. They can’t just say “we’re cancelling it”, you DO have a contract. I personally wouldn’t want to work with them because of their email to you, they kinda just ditched you.

Er, I phrased what i was saying wrong, meant to say you are so dissatisfied and “sad” with the results of their work, yet said you loved them so much and weren”t considering dropping them. Didn’t quite see how that added up.

I am honestly glad that they saw this thread. They really need to fine-tune their skills because what they gave you was not a reflection of a professional photographer, as so many of us pointed out. And now, you won’t have to pay pro prices for amateur work. :-/ And that’s on top of the unprofessional way in which they handled this situation. Definitely for the best.

Ditto, dearmissie. I don’t know how everyone is sure of that either. I musta missed it… Haha.

Krispy1327, Don’t worry, this is totally for the best. If they did see this post, you’d think they’d want to try to fix the problem to at least redeem themselves a bit. I honestly do think that their work needs a bit of polish. You’ll find someone who’s a much better fit, I’m sure! =]

Either way, it’s for the better. But Sera is right, for the record, you do need to agree to cancel the contract.
