So due to all kind of crazy schedules, our e-pics are in Houston, in July. Outside. We are getting up obscenly early to take them before its a million degrees but it will still be in the 90s at 7 AM. I really dont like how my legs look that much so I really wanted to wear jeans, but I will die of heat stroke if I do. Anyone take pictures when it is super hot? What did you wear? I know at the park we are going to there are some cool water features we will be playing in at the end of the session but before then… I dont want to cook but still want to look cute! Help? Or examples of pictures from when it was hot?

Yay a Houston bee 🙂 We recently got pictures done in April, and it was hot and sticky. Not as bad as it’ll be in July, but still hot. The only thing I can suggest is bring extra make-up, lots of water, and light color clothes if possible. If you want to wear jeans, definitely try to stay out of the sun as much as possible. Also, if you plan on doing close ups, bring shorts/capris since you wont be able to see your legs anyway, but it’ll give you time to cool off a little.
ETA: Maybe wear a dress with cute sandals instead of jeans. You can get one of the long ones that cover your legs, but aren’t so hot

If I were you, I would space it out where you could do some outside & then some inside w/ the ac to cool off.
Also, bring lots of napkins – esp for those close up shots, you don’t want to be all wet & shiny.
As a side note, one of my husband’s co workers had an all outdoor wedding & reception in July in Houston! Could you imagine!!?!

We are taking our e-pics outside in June so I’m dealing with the same issue! I have decided to do a sleeveless dress & heels for our ‘dressy’ pics, and then maybe capris or some COMFY jeans and a cute (short sleeved) top. I wouldn’t go with super tight jeans or anything that could show ‘moisture marks’ as my mom calls them. lol.
I went to an outdoor wedding a couple of years ago in the middle of July in East Texas and got sick. Seriously it was way too hot to be outside and they had no beverages available until the food came. By that time I was heading to the car because I felt horrible. No bueno!!
Good luck with your pictures!
