We decided last minute that during our trip to Las Vegas this upcoming week we’re going to get some pro e-pics done. I’m super excited and we both just got some new outfits (just the fact that he wanted to go shopping w/ me makes it worth the cost, hehe). I was just wondering if you guys had any advice for me…
What spots in Vegas are great for pictures? What kind of outfits/themes do you think work well? How many outfit changes should I do (we only have 2 hours)? Should I wear or not wear certain makeup for the pics? (I’ve been hearing that I should do a makeup base like Smashbox photo primer but don’t want to splurge if not necessary) And lastly, do you all have any tips for food, gambling, night spots, shows, etc in Vegas? This will be the first time for both of us.
Thanks bees! I’ll post the pics as soon as we get them!

Heya! I’m getting married in Vegas at the end of this month. 🙂
We booked an hour at the Neon Museum. It’s a boneyard for all of the old light signs!
Also maybe on the gondolas at the Venetian (I think), and maybe atop the Stratosphere!
Unfortunately though, all I have are “cool spot” ideas for ya. 🙂 Have fun!

I just got back from my first trip to Vegas TWO days ago! We also happened to get engaged there, yay!
Here’s some ideas:
-In front of the Bellagio fountains
-At the Top of the Stratosphere tower (we got engaged at their Top of the World restaurant, which is super fancy and romantic)
-Freemont street (the older part of Vegas with the original casinos)
-Circus Circus for a circus theme, Excalibur for a Medival theme, Ceasar’s palace for a Roman theme, the possibilities are endless really! There are a ton of other hotels/casinos with different themes
-Shots of the two of you winning on a slot machine (fake it till’ you make it!)
-There’s also the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, and Red Rock canyon if you want to do nature-inspired shots.
Good luck! Can’t wait to see them.
As for shows, we saw the Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil show which was fantastic. We also saw a topless vampire show at the Stratosphere, called Bite.

@said8me: Congrats on your upcoming Vegas wedding! I’d love to do the Neon Graveyard, but we’re actually getting the pics done this Sunday and it’s too late to book it. I’m sure your pics are gonna be amazing there 🙂
@R.Elliott: Congrats on your engagement! We got engaged in Atlantic City so I bet it was awesome in Vegas. I think our photog wants to start at the Bellagio fountains so I’m glad you like that spot too, and the slot machine idea sounds fun! My b-day is next week too and I’ve been pushing for us going to Beatles Love show–maybe I’ll tell him if he takes me to it that we can go to a topless vampire show 😉
So I think we’re going to check out the Stratosphere, Bellagio fountains, and try to hit up as many other casinos as we can for our 2 hour shoot. I should probably bring a pair of flats since I imagine it won’t be much fun running around Vegas in 4″ heels.
Thanks for the advice ladies and anyone else who has advice for engagement pics or Vegas please feel free to contribute!
