Cape Elizabeth? When Fiance and I were up there last summer we got some AMAZING shots out there, and not just of the lighthouse! There is a great old fort that would make for good pictures, great coastline/rocky beaches for pictures and so on.

Since we were only there for one day (FI wanted to show me where he grew up in S.Portland) I can only recommend that one area, but it was really close to Portland and absolutely breathtaking.

I moved to Maine 3 years ago from Los Angeles and now live in Yarmouth.  I stil think the mid-coast is the most beautiful part of Maine (besides Acadia).  But yes, Cape Elizabeth is very beautiful and totally picturesque.  Portland Head Light is great for scenic pics too. But if you want something kind of funky, what about Old Orchard Beach?  It’s kind of ghetto-cool, if that makes any sense. lol  There’s the pier, the beach, the arcade, the rides, etc.  Ogunquit beach is very pretty and there’s a scenic trail that has about a million photo ops in tiny coves, overlooking the water, etc.

Can’t really go wrong, so have fun!

What sort of e-pics do you want? (Beach look, etc.?) We took ours down on Wharf Street, and on the Wharf itself by the ferry terminal on Commerical Street (and by the mural on the side of RiRa), here are a couple to give you an idea:
