We had ours taken at an old cotton mill location near the county line of Fulton and Cobb.  It was so rustic and artistic.  In fact, there was a professional shoot going on the same time we were there.  If it interests you, I can ask our photog the name of the park (it’s slipping my mind).  It’s in the midst of a residential area… it was so cool though and I love the way our photos turned out!

I lived in Atlanta for 4 years while at Ga Tech.  Honestly, I LOVE downtown/midtown along with Piedmont Park.  There is also the area near the High Museum that is kind of artsy.  Ga Teah campus has a lot of really awesome buildings.

You could do something at Stone Mountain maybe…but that may fall under generic and park with flowers.  All I can really think of are outdoorsy/natury places.

Oooooh, I just thought about Centenial Olympic Park/Hard Rock/ all those awesome places REALLY downtown.  Underground, etc.

Hope this helps…

I second Peidmont Park and Centennial Park.  Some other nice places would be almost any college campus, Candler Park and cute little restaurant.  For the more urban feel maybe down near Peters Street or over near Auburn Ave.

Darling Husband and I had ours done on Georgia Tech’s campus (but we both went to school there so I don’t know if it would makes sense for you).

Piedmont park is gorgeous and there are areas were you can get the Atlanta skyline as the background of the pictures.

ETA: Little 5 Points would probably be good for some more artsy/edgy locales.
