I think it depends on if you like fall/winter pictures. I love pictures with scarfs/sweaters/warm cloths. But if you’re not a fall girl then wait until spring!

Wow! For a moment I thought this was me writing this post. I am in the same situation. I think I am going to wait until the spring/summer so that I can lose some weight. I know I can lose a significant amount by that time.

@littlemisshostess:  We don’t have our date picked yet but it is 100% going to be Oct. 2013. We should be booking the place this week, then the photographer… I want my e pics done in the fall weather also!

I’m having that same dilema. I am a huge fan of fall and always wanted my pictures in the Fall, but I’m not sure that I am ready THIS soon. But i’m not excited about doing the Spring. I prefer Fall clothing..haha- that sounds silly, but if we have to take a jacket off and be a little cold, I think it might be worth it…

We’re doing ours in May. I figured that since our wedding is in the fall, it would be nice to have a mix of seasons in our wedding-related pics by doing the engagement pics in spring. Also, our 3-year dating anniversary is in May. And I need to drop 30 pounds before I get any professional pics taken, so that was another good reason for us to wait until spring ๐Ÿ™‚

We are going to do our engagement pics in the Spring.  First, because I didn’t want to rush to get them done before it gets to cold.  Second, I would like to lose some weight before we get them done.  And third, because I think it would be nice to have our engagement pics in a different season than our wedding pics.

We did ours mid-October.

I plan on sending out save the dates in January or February so we needed an e-pic in the event we wanted one to be on the card. They turned out pretty bc of the changing leaves

We did ours this past summer. My future sister in law did them and I’m glad we got them out of the way. Plus I put them all together in mixbook and we’re going to have the guests sign over our pictures for our guest book! ๐Ÿ™‚ I love looking at them ahead of time. She did an awesome job. ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband and I took fall photos twice this year. Once in October and once this past weekend. It wasn’t to cold or anything. IDK how could it will be in a week or two where you are but if you are not comfortable then wait. I am sure spring photos will be lovely! But if you are up for it I would do them now. ๐Ÿ™‚

We are taking ours in the spring in Philly with our wedding photographer, but we took a few last week with a photog out here in LA. We needed them to order our STD’s, and I had to order them by this week, or would have lost a HUGE ($100+) discount.

So, in the end, we will have taken 2 sets of pics. But, I feel ok about it. We hardly have ANY good pics of us together.

Unless you need them for STD’s, I would wait til the spring!

We did ours on THE last nice day we had, which was mid-October here in Northern Indiana.  We had not had a lot of wind or rain at that point, so there was plenty of leaves still on the trees and the colors turned out beautifully.  The lighting was really good too! However, I would say that if it hadn’t worked out for us to do it then, at this point, we would have waited until the spring.  Good luck!

I’m in the same boat as others.  I wanted to have time to lose a few pounds, but I am going to use winter clothing to my advantage (and a crazy girdle).

I am going with a Happy New Year/STD theme, so hopefully it will work out.
