This is for the ladies who have already soldered their rings together.
Lately, I feel as though my fingers have been shrinking (I’ve lost some weight but not a lot. It could be the weather too). My question is whether once you soldered your rings together if they now fit more snug to your finger. I was considering sizing my ring down but if its going to fit more snug once I solder my band on, I think I will pass. Let me know what your experiences have been! Thanks!

For me, when I had my rings soldered together (original e-ring and two bands on each side), it did fit a bit more snug since everything was wider. I’m sure a jeweler would solder them to fit your ring size though, so it would not be snug. For me, I had to get my bands soldered together b/c of the shape of my ring (vintage Edwardian style – square). Hope this helps!

It’s true that added width of a ring makes it fit tighter. I think it’s because of the way a ring can spread out the flesh on your finger. It shouldn’t be any different if you solder them together versus just putting both on at once. Do you already have your wedding band? If not, just try on another ring alongside your e-ring, and see how much more difficult it is to slide both off your finger versus just your e-ring. You should be able to tell if you still might need to resize, or get a sizing bar/sizing beads put on (you can remove them later if your finger size changes). My ring is loose, and I tried this trick and realized I should not size it down as once I have a second ring it will be just about right.
